London Theatre

Wolf Hall / Bring Up The Bodies

We watched the two plays on different days and this by no means diminshed our enjoyment of Hilary Mantel's writing.

Ben Miles was superb as Henry VIII's Mr Fix-it, Thomas Cromwell - ruthless, scheming and yet cheeky to the audience.

Anne Boleyn is played by Lydia Leonard who is a perfectly manipulative minx with grand plans.

Everyone knows the story of Henry, here played by Nathaniel Parker but this cast is a shot in the arm for any boring history leason.
