Take your seats in good time for the performances, turn off your mobiles and don’t rustle toffee papers in the auditorium.

Kevin Bridges

Not being familiar with Kevin Bridges apart from the fact he’s a Glaswegian and has been on telly, we had no idea what seeing him live would be like.

No props, gimmicks or visual aids – this was proper stand up and had us hooting with laughter.

There were many magic moments – impersonating Danny Dyer outside a Celtic/ Rangers match, that awful moment when you realise there’s an odd amount of fish fingers left in the box and the concept of Africa eventually having to do a charity concert for Britain. “Everytime I snap my fingers, someone in Swindon gets a credit card application rejected.”

The evening ended with a very relaxed Q and A session – first question “ Do you wanna come for a bag of chips? “ – well this was Sarfend.
